25 YEAR Carla Koch Gallery, Amsterdam, The Netherlands til end 2020

Gallery Carla Koch has a unique specialism: ceramic and glass objects that usually refer to the container form, but at the same time liberate themselves from their function. They thus move in the interesting no man’s land between visual art and design. The gallery shows different mentalities and presents conceptual as well as architectural and narrative work.

AU DELÀ DU POT, LE DON DU FEL, FRANCE, SUMMER 2020

They’re all artists who know the pot by heart. They produced it, loved it and still love it. But rather than perpetuating a production of containers, they prefer to divert or rely on the vocabulary of the pottery tradition to express themselves differently, to enjoin this millennial history to be nourished by an original and much more contemporary reflection.
